That time we were on TLC...

Don't try to deny it. It is part of our womanly right to take a personal beauty day here and there. On said day, you stay in your pajamas all day (possibly changing into nicer pajamas or adding a sports bra if you are expecting the nice delivery man with more food), eat whatever you want, and watch marathon episodes of Say Yes to the Dress. Do not be ashamed! Relish in the moment. Ladybird, it's your special day!

We could not believe our luck when we met Rachel. Her wedding was being featured on Say Yes to the Dress and Rock the Reception on TLC. She had searched and searched for the perfect beauty team for her wedding. She had to be camera ready while maintaining her bridal glow.

Enter PRIMP!

The wedding took place in sound studios in Brooklyn, between movie sets and movie stars. Her husband even proposed during the filming of the movie Sex and the City, where she was background in a scene. (Swoon!) We had a blast with Rachel and her party, hung around through the reception to make sure everyone stayed picture perfect, and got to be a part of two of our guiltiest pleasure shows!

On your next personal beauty day, if they are showing a Say Yes to the Dress marathon, or revisiting Rock the Reception, look real close to see who is holding the hair spray and makeup brush... it might just be us!

Sweet Words from a Sweet Lady!

We had the best time PRIMPing Jenn and her wedding party. It was nonstop laughter, naughty jokes, and easy fun. We could not have asked for a more beautiful, fun, adorably sweet group of women (and man!). As you can see, Jenn glows. Inside and out!

There aren't words to describe how fortunate I feel to have found Erin and Jess. They were incredible to work with from the very start - responsive, professional, gifted, adorable, and hilarious. I hadn't spent very much time thinking about my hair and makeup, so I showed up two days before my wedding and asked them to make me look good. They did exactly that -- I've never looked and felt so great. And that's saying something because I was a bit of a basketcase when they showed up the day of the wedding. They got right to work and transformed the day. My bridesmaids also did hair and makeup and wouldn't stop talking about how much they loved both of their looks. So thank you again, ladies. I will continue to thank you forever for making me look and feel the part and for keeping us all laughing that afternoon. I wanted to keep you around for the rest of the evening. :)

Occasionally, a bride feels most comfortable in the hands of her usual stylist, mother, aunt, or friend who has offered to get her ready for the big day. We can still help! Lauren had a large party. She, along with her mother and sisters, used their usual stylist, but she called us to come PRIMP her bridesmaids. We had a wonderful time working with each unique spirited woman. They all looked beautiful!

hi erin and jess!

i'm sorry that i've been so delayed in sending you a few photos..right after the wedding we went to the honeymoon in vt, escaped the hurricane (!), and then i started nursing school! all at lot at once :)

anyway...the wedding itself was a BEAUTIFULLY AMAZING day. i cannot tell you how much i enjoyed having both of you with us throughout the morning..we all felt so gorgeous after you worked your magic, so thank you!! as far as the wedding... the ceremony was so personal and touching - we had a lot of friends involved and that made it really special. and then the reception - well, it got pretty crazy! haha. i think amir and i set the tone by coming out and doing a choreographed dance...people were dancing every single minute! i couldn't believe it. and my makeup and hair looked fabulous throughout everything!

here are a few photos - the professionals won't be done for a while. but, we have some pretty talented friends and family to make the wait not so bad. :) i tried to show you photos that show both my makeup and hair (and hopefully some of the back of my hair - it looked so full! amazing job!). (warning: i sent you a lot, it seems!!)

Hey, chickadees!
I literally kept my braid in for 4 days until I felt like I had to take it out for my conscience -- and as I was in the bathroom doing so, my bridesmaid texted me saying "i am still at work with my braid in -- is that gross?" haha
Everything you girls did for us turned out AMAZING. I felt like the prettiest bride ever. :)
I don't have any 'official' photos yet -- but I just fb stalked you both so you can see what is up there for now. And, when I get real photos I will be sure to send those along, too.
Hope you both enjoyed the rest of summer -- it is legit fall weather now, but I am secretly happy to be chilling out in sweatpants. We went to Hawaii and it was the most fun everrr. But, alas, now I am back to the South Bronx for work -- quite the opposite...

Jacquie's Urban Wonderland

Sometimes, emergencies happen! Luckily, we work best under pressure. After doing everyone's hair and makeup, Jacquie's hair piece feel apart and bridesmaid Bridget's zipper broke. Armed with a glue gun and a sewing kit, we fixed both the hair piece and the dress in no time at all! Crisis averted!

Thank you SOOOOO much for everything -- you guys were seriously amazing. Everyone looked beautiful, Bridget's dress stayed on all night and you guys were amazing to work with.
